A quiet wall of people who kept journaling.

I used to write everything in the Apple Notes app, but found it to be sort of tedious. This app is extremely straightforward. It makes writing easy. Well done!

I’ll be using this app for a bit, I like having one unified space for my brain vomit and being able to tag it logs with things like #thankful or #remember or #todo to quickly recall them later if the timeline gets filled. I also love that you can double-tap to hide the entire timeline except what you’re currently writing for privacy if you’re in public. I do wish that there was some sort of auto-spacing between entries; right now I’m adding a break after every log to get around this but sometimes I forget and my entries end up all clumped together when they shouldn’t be, because the option to edit also seems to be missing (unless I’m missing it).

Update: updating my review because I’ve been using this app for three days and I completely understand the spacing now. My thoughts are grouped by time of day and spaced sort of like discord; if enough time has passed a new timestamp will create a line break. I know the editing feature is coming so I’ll proactively add a star for that lol

I love this app. It’s so streamlined and pretty. I like having a constant flow of entries, and not breaking everything up into individual notes. Great idea. I will absolutely continue to use. Some features that I would love to see added are: A per-entry word count. Basic formatting (italics, and bold) The ability to search by date. That’s really it. Highly recommend this app. Cheers

This app is pure perfection. Open and type thoughts with no distractions, no need to enter titles or navigate somewhere. By the time I open another app and get to writing, I’ll have forgotten what I was going to write. This app makes it so easy to write thoughts down more often.

My only request is to display photos in discreet mode as gray blocks. I haven’t purchased the subscription because the preview shows a sunset photo as a bright blurred orange square and I’d find that incredibly distracting to the otherwise elegant mostly monochromatic design of the app.

Also, looking forward to the edit feature! Would love to correct small typos or add a tag to a previous thought.

One suggestion is the ability to reply to previous thoughts. “Hindsight” or “reflection” essentially. Editing previous thoughts to add tags somewhat resolves this but replying to your own thoughts would be awesome for retrospectives!

Such a great app, just perfect. Have been using for months now. It’s the only journal I stick with.

Thank you for making this app so I don't have to. Some of the aesthetics around tagging and searching are quite brilliant too, and... it's a chat journal, which is lovely.

PLEASE allow for restore with merging for working on two devices (iPad & iPhone). If two entries have a conflict, just lose one.

I love the simplicity of this app. The only thing I would like to see is an option for a simpler or more minimalist app icon for my home screen.

I got this app because I needed somewhere to vent. Honestly this is the best app, it is so simple and there are different settings for privacy. Best “dump” journal ever, I highly recommend!! It’s great.

I was skeptical but I have found this app more my style than the other six I tried.

Love this. Perfectly lightweight and I can get right into journaling without thinking about titles, labels, or categorization.

iCloud syncing between iPad and iPhone and a setting to increase the font size would make this perfect!

I just started using this app today and I’m already in love with it. The ay it functions is genius and it has made its much easier for me to actually journal. I would give more than 5 starts if I could.

I do have an idea for a new feature though: maybe making it able to sync through icloud? I have other devices I would love to be able to write on the same stream on. :D

Simple, clean, easy to use. It’s a beautiful dark mode app. I feel very comfortable putting my thoughts here because the developer has made it secure and private by not making everything cloud based. It feels private in a way other apps don’t which is a huge plus for a journal app. I also like that I can toggle the screen to private mode. The search and tag features are good, too and helps me with tracking different things like ideas, moods, quotes.

It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite apps.

Only suggestion is the ability to change font to sans serif.

Simple and minimalistic

Quick feature request: I know you can tag and search by tags, but a really useful functionality for me would be the ability to Star entries, and filter by starred entries only.

With tagging, I don’t always know if the entry is important enough to be tagged as an important entry, and since entries are not editable, makes it hard to look and look at only the important entries I made.

I love just how simple this app is. It’s perfectly apt to call this your own personal twittter to rant to no one. And that can be therapeutic. The only change I would make it the ability to add tags to comments after hitting enter. I think not being able to edit comments is a good idea but I would like to add hashtags when I think of them and not just when writing the comment.

Couple of ideas:

Allow a strike through as I use #td tag for my todo list too. But I can’t check off. Allow editing of old notes. Mostly so I can add missed hash tags.

As an entrepreneur this app is wonderful, as it provides quick and simple functionality... Everything I need and no more bundled into this little React app. Excellent. Get it.
